Google has made several Gemini 3-based AI tools available for free to Gmail users. Features such as AI Overviews, Smart Replies, and Help Me Write, previously reserved for subscribers of Google AI Plus or Ultra, are now accessible to everyone.
AI Inbox helps declutter your inbox and provides brief highlights of important messages. It is particularly useful for summarizing lengthy 'Reply All' emails.
Help Me Write allows users to input prompts for desired text, and Gemini will generate the content. Additionally, users can refine specific parts of the generated messages. Suggested Replies, an upgrade to Smart Replies, will consider the context of the ongoing conversation and align the suggested response with the user’s tone of writing.
These features will initially be rolled out to Gmail users in the United States who use English, with plans to expand to additional regions and languages over the coming months.
