Poco M8 5G Series: Unveiling the M8 and M8 Pro with Impressive Specs

Poco has officially launched the new M8 5G series, featuring the Poco M8 and the Poco M8 Pro. Both models are powered by advanced Snapdragon chipsets.

Poco M8 5G

The Poco M8 is equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, offering up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It runs on Android 15 with HyperOS 2, featuring an array of AI functionalities, including Google Gemini and Circle to Search.

It boasts a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an impressive peak brightness of 3,200 nits, 3,840Hz PWM dimming, and 12-bit color depth at Full-HD+ resolution.

For photography, the Poco M8 features a 50MP Light Fusion 400 primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor on the rear, complemented by a 20MP front camera for selfies. Although it shares similar aesthetics with the Redmi Note 15 5G, the latter is distinguished by its 108MP main camera and ultrawide capabilities.

It is powered by a robust 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an infrared sensor, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and expandable storage options.

Poco M8 Pro 5G

The Pro variant comes equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and features the Poco IceLoop cooling system to enhance heat management. It also operates on Android 15 with HyperOS 2.

This model includes a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The display is safeguarded with Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The Poco M8 Pro 5G features a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Light Fusion 800 primary camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, it sports a 32MP front camera. The M8 Pro closely resembles the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ but lacks the 200MP main camera.

The M8 Pro is powered by a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 100W wired charging and up to 22.5W reverse wired charging. It also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IP68 rating, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, 5G, GPS, and stereo speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos.

Pricing

The Poco M8 5G is available in Black, Green, and Silver color options, with the 8GB/256GB variant priced at $229 (£229/€269), while the 8GB/512GB model is offered at $279 (£259/€299). Early-bird offers allow you to purchase the base variant for $209 (£189/€229) and the 512GB version for $259 (£219/€259).

Meanwhile, the Poco M8 Pro 5G is priced at $299 (£299/€349) for the 8GB/256GB variant and $359 (£349/€399) for the 12GB/512GB option. Early-bird pricing offers this model at $279 (£259/€309) and $339 (£299/€359), respectively. It is also available in Black, Green, and Silver colors.
