The smartphone battery is evolving rapidly, and OnePlus has just revealed two new models featuring impressive 9,000mAh batteries. Remarkably, these devices maintain a slim profile, measuring just 8.5mm in thickness and weighing 215g.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V are closely related, with the Turbo 6 positioned as the premium variant, starting at CNY 2,300 for a model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Turbo 6V is a more budget-friendly option, beginning at CNY 1,900 for the 8GB/256GB configuration. An early bird discount of CNY 200 is available for both models.
The main distinction lies in performance. The OnePlus Turbo 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, enhanced by auxiliary chips such as the Fengchi Game Kernel, which allows gaming at up to 165fps to match the display's refresh rate. Additionally, the device includes the G1 Wi-Fi enhancement chip and another chip for more responsive touch controls, boasting a sampling rate of up to 330Hz.

The OnePlus Turbo 6V, on the other hand, utilizes the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. It features the touch chip but lacks the two additional chips found in the Turbo 6. It also includes a large vapor chamber and multiple heat-dissipating layers similar to its higher-end counterpart.

The Turbo 6 is clearly the more powerful model, as it is paired with faster memory options, offering up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. In contrast, the 6V supports up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Both devices feature 6.78-inch OLED displays with a resolution of 1272p+ and support for 10-bit colors. The Turbo 6 display is equipped with ProXDR, HDR Vivid, and Xreal certifications, delivering a refresh rate of 165Hz. While the Turbo 6V offers a respectable refresh rate of 144Hz, both displays can achieve peak brightness of 1,800 nits and provide DC dimming along with 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM.

Both models feature the remarkable 9,000mAh batteries supporting 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, offering up to 55W when using a PPS charger. According to OnePlus, you can expect about 10.6 hours of gaming or 22.5 hours of video playback with the Turbo 6. The Turbo 6V offers similar performance with 10.5 hours of gaming and 25.6 hours of TikTok streaming. Both devices can also function as power banks with 27W reverse charging capability.

Both devices feature a 50MP main camera with an f/1.88 lens equipped with OIS and 4K video recording at 60fps. Additionally, a 16MP selfie camera (f/2.4) captures 1080p video at 30fps, along with a secondary 2MP camera on the rear.
Connectivity options are adequate, although some may find the USB-C 2.0 port disappointing. The Turbo 6 features Wi-Fi 7 (be, 2x2) while the Turbo 6V supports Wi-Fi 6 (ax, 1x1). Both models come with Bluetooth supporting aptX Adaptive, LDAC, and LHDC 5.0, but neither offers a 3.5mm headphone jack or microSD slot.
Both phones have varying levels of water protection: IP66 (splash proof), IP68 (submersion), and IP69 (hot water jets). However, details about the front glass are not specified. Both devices are equipped with optical fingerprint readers.
