The OnePlus 15T is expected to be unveiled in early Q2, following the launch of its predecessor, the OnePlus 13T, in April of the previous year, according to leakster Digital Chat Station. While details about the launch in China are more certain, it remains unclear if and when the device will be available in other global markets.
Recall that OnePlus also introduced a nearly identical version, the OnePlus 13s, in India. The primary differences included a smaller battery (5,850mAh compared to 6,260mAh) and a downgraded selfie camera (16MP/1080p instead of 32MP/4K). Aside from these changes, both phones share a 6.32-inch display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and dual 50MP cameras.
The OnePlus 15T is anticipated to come with an impressive 7,000mAh battery, which might potentially reach up to 7,500mAh, as indicated by DCS. This upgrade may also reflect a differentiation in the launch strategy between China and India similar to the 13T and 13s.
Moving on to other specifications, the upcoming model is rumored to feature a flat 6.3-inch LTPS OLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of 165Hz, surpassing the 120Hz LTPO panel found in the 2025 model. Furthermore, the fingerprint reader is expected to receive an upgrade to an ultrasonic variant.
Powering the OnePlus 15T will be the likely choice of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, rather than a downgraded version. The device will also boast an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, along with the option of a magnetic snap-on case. It's worth noting that while the 13T and 13s had magnetic cases, they did not support wireless charging.
Details regarding the camera capabilities remain sparse, though significant upgrades are not anticipated. The telephoto lens is expected to retain the same 50MP JN5 sensor used in its predecessor. No leaked information is available about the main camera specifications or any additional cameras.
A key consideration is whether the OnePlus 15T, or a variation of it, will be available in more markets than its predecessor. If so, it could face competition from models like the Xiaomi 17 Pro, vivo X300, and likely the Oppo Find X9s, while the iQOO 15 mini may not enter the race.
