The latest restructuring within the BBK Electronics conglomerate sees Realme reverting to its position as an Oppo sub-brand. This information was reported by China’s Leifeng.com, citing internal sources from Oppo. Notably, Realme's founder and CEO, Sky Li, will maintain his role, overseeing the Realme brand under Oppo’s management in this new arrangement.

This strategic move aims to enhance cooperation among Oppo, Realme, and the OnePlus sub-brand, focusing on better resource management and bolstering Oppo’s global expansion strategy.
Under this new structure, Oppo will lead the operations, while OnePlus and Realme will serve as supporting sub-brands, each with distinct marketing strategies.
The organization change will not affect future Realme product launches; all upcoming devices are confirmed to be released as planned. Furthermore, Realme will become part of Oppo's after-sales service system, which encompasses over 5,000 physical stores throughout China.
Former BBK Electronics Corporation brands in their current formationRealme originated as an Oppo sub-brand in May 2018, before becoming an independent brand later that year. The BBK Electronics conglomerate, which included Oppo, vivo, OnePlus, iQOO, and Realme, decayed in 2023, leading to the emergence of Oppo, vivo, and imoo, the children's smartwatch manufacturer.
