The Oppo A6 series boasts more models than one might expect. While you might not be daydreaming about A6 phones, there's a new model that just launched in India – introducing the Oppo A6 Pro 5G.
It's essential to clarify that this Oppo A6 Pro 5G is distinct from the Chinese variant and should not be confused with the A6 Pro 4G. A different name would have indeed been beneficial for clarity.
Powering the Oppo A6 Pro 5G is the Dimensity 6300 chipset, accompanied by a substantial 7,000mAh battery. The device features 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM along with storage options of 128GB or 256GB using UFS 2.2. For those needing additional storage, a microSD slot is available. The battery supports 80W SuperVOOC charging (33W PPS).
With a 30-minute charge using an 80W charger, the battery can reach 54% capacity, while a full charge takes 64 minutes. Oppo assures users that the battery health will remain intact after five years of usage. On a practical level, it can sustain up to 12 hours of MOBA gaming and nearly 22 hours of video streaming.

While it shares several specifications with the global A6 Pro 5G, the Indian model has a unique display – a 6.75” LCD boasting a resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate (100% sRGB, 8-bit colors). This display achieves brightness levels of 900 nits, peaking at 1,125 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM). In contrast, the global variant features a 6.57” 1080p+ OLED display.
Other specifications remain consistent, including a 50MP primary camera on the rear (capable of 1080p video at 60fps) complemented by a 2MP secondary module, plus a 16MP front-facing camera (1080p video at 30fps).
The Oppo A6 Pro 5G supports dual nano-SIM functionality with 5G NR bands (1, 3, 5, 8, 28B, 38, 40, 41, 48, 77, 78). Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.4 (aptX HD, LDAC). However, it does not support NFC and lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack; fortunately, stereo speakers are included.
The design is comparable, measuring 8.6mm in thickness and weighing 216g. It is available in Cappuccino Brown and Aurora Gold. The body is rated IP66, IP68, and IP69, providing dust and splash protection, waterproofing up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, and resistance to hot water jets.

The Oppo A6 Pro 5G is currently available for purchase through Oppo's online store in India. The 8/128GB model is priced at ₹22,000, while the 8/256GB variant retails for ₹24,000.
