Samsung has announced the integration of Google Photos into its line of smart TVs, marking a significant milestone as this is the first instance where Google Photos is available as an application on any television platform. Notably, even Google’s own Android TVs lack native support for the service.
The rollout of Google Photos will commence in early 2026, introducing three feature tiers. The first feature, Memories, will showcase curated stories based on cherished moments, people, and locations. This exclusive feature is set to be available on qualifying Samsung TVs starting in March.

In addition, Samsung TV users will gain access to the Nano Banana feature through the Create with AI tool, which is expected to launch later in 2026. This feature will bring themed templates to enhance existing photos with AI edits, including the Remix tool directly on the television screen.
The third feature, Personalized Results, will also debut later in 2026, delivering tailored slideshows that highlight specific memories or topics of interest.
Moreover, Samsung is set to integrate Google Photos with its Vision AI Companion (VAC), further enhancing the user experience.
