Samsung Galaxy Studio Headphones Design Revealed in FCC Filing Ahead of Expected 2027 Launch

Source: Date:

Samsung appears to be gearing up to enter the premium over-ear headphone market, and fresh leaks are giving us our first glimpse of what the company has in store. The rumored headphones, believed to carry the Galaxy Studio branding, are tipped to debut in early 2027 alongside the flagship Galaxy S27 lineup. Now, newly surfaced certification documents have shed light on their design.

A Samsung audio device with the model number SMU700 has been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification database. Industry watchers believe this listing corresponds to the long-rumored Galaxy Studio headphones.

While the FCC documentation primarily shows where the regulatory label will be positioned, it also provides a sneak peek at the headphones themselves. Based on the partial imagery, the Galaxy Studio seems to adopt flat-folding earcups, a practical design choice that should make the headphones easier to store and carry.

In addition to the design hints, accompanying paperwork confirms that Samsung plans to offer the Galaxy Studio in at least two colorways: black and beige.
