Apple has started testing the first developer beta for iOS 27.3, delivering a fresh update that spans its major platforms. Alongside iPhone, the company also released initial developer builds for iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3, watchOS 27.3, tvOS 27.3, and visionOS 27.3, giving early testers a broad look at upcoming refinements and new capabilities.
The iOS 27.3 beta 1 centers on a redesigned Health app and expanded Audio Intelligence features, including Siri Recap and Live Rewind on Apple Watch. These additions point to a broader push toward more proactive summaries and hands-free control across Apple’s ecosystem.
Apple is also moving Apple Intelligence features closer to China, a move confirmed last week. While the beta does not yet expose every capability to all testers, Siri AI is notably absent for now, suggesting a staged rollout or region-specific availability.
Beyond the headline changes, iOS 27.3 beta 1 includes the Reachability accessibility feature for the iPhone Duo, vertical tabs in Safari, and an adaptive Dark Mode. StandBy mode also gains functionality similar to the iPhone Duo across all supported iPhone models, extending a useful hands-free experience to more devices.
In related news, Apple announced a new Siri AI Developer Preview available to all developers, enabling app integration with the company’s next-generation assistant experience. This preview may help shape how third-party apps work with Siri AI in future releases.
