Oppo has officially moved beyond rumors and confirmed that the Reno17 series is set to arrive in China on November 9, marking the second Reno refresh of the year as part of the brand’s ongoing biannual update cycle.
Oppo Reno17 and Reno17 ProIn addition to the announcement, Oppo said the devices will also be available in stores on the launch date, giving customers the chance to experience the phones in person before buying them.
Blind pre-orders for the Reno17 and Reno17 Pro have already opened, and current reports point to meaningful upgrades over the previous generation. The standard Reno17 is expected to feature a large 8,000 mAh battery, while the more compact Pro model may carry a 7,200 mAh unit. Both models are also rumored to include a 200MP rear camera, likely serving as the main camera. One separate report suggests that the redesigned devices may also be compatible with the Hasselblad teleconverter kit that was introduced with the Find X10 series last month.
For now, only the Chinese launch has been confirmed, but the Reno17 is likely to make a global appearance as well, potentially in time for the holiday season.
