Apple has delivered its strongest September quarter yet, reporting record revenue of $114.5 billion for the three-month period ending in September. The company’s top line grew 12% year over year, while earnings per share increased 14% to $2.10. Gross margin reached 47.9%, with tariff refunds adding $0.05 per share and contributing one percentage point to the margin.

For full fiscal year 2026, Apple posted record revenue of $479 billion and achieved double-digit growth in earnings per share, marking one of the strongest financial performances in the company’s history.

Apple sales by segment

iPhone remained the backbone of Apple’s business. The company generated $57.6 billion in iPhone revenue during the September quarter, compared with $49.0 billion a year earlier. For the full fiscal year, iPhone sales reached $254.1 billion, up from $209.6 billion in the prior year.

Services also posted a landmark quarter, reaching a record $31.6 billion in revenue, up from $28.8 billion in the same period last year. Full-year Services revenue rose to $123.3 billion from $109.2 billion, highlighting the continued strength of Apple’s subscription-based and digital offerings.

One of the quarter’s notable shifts was the improved performance of the Mac. Apple’s computer business earned $10.8 billion in the September quarter, up from $8.7 billion a year ago, making Macs the company’s third-largest product category. That position surpassed Wearables, Home, and Accessories, which declined from $9.0 billion to $8.3 billion. Macs also outperformed over the full year, while iPad revenue fell from $6.9 billion to $6.2 billion.

Apple’s strong results arrive following a major product launch cycle that included new MacBooks, the company’s first touch-enabled MacBook, an OLED-equipped iPad mini, and a broader smart home lineup. New home products included a smart display, cameras, thermostats and locks, smart speakers, and a new Apple TV streaming device. The iPhone Duo, which began shipping in late October, is expected to play a central role in the company’s next financial report.

Apple net sales by region

By region, the Americas remained Apple’s largest market with $48.7 billion in quarterly net sales. Europe followed with $32 billion, while Greater China accounted for $17.5 billion.
