Samsung Galaxy S27+ charging speed revealed in new certification

Another piece of evidence has surfaced confirming the charging capabilities of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27+. A new safety certification points to 45W fast-charging support, matching earlier 3C filing data from China and strengthening the case that the Plus model will keep the same charging speed as its predecessor.

The certification lists a 15V/3A rating, which equals 45W. That detail appears across multiple model numbers, suggesting the feature is not limited to one regional variant. The filings reportedly cover the global SM-S956B, Korean SM-S956N, US SM-S956U, Chinese SM-S9560, and Japan's Docomo SM-SC-52H variant.

If accurate, this would mean the Galaxy S27+ offers the same 45W charging speed as the Galaxy S26+. That would also mark another generation in which Samsung's Plus phone maintains the same wireless-charging-era fast-charging rate rather than moving to a higher output.

For context, the standard Galaxy S27 is expected to remain at 25W, according to a separate certification reported last week. With the Galaxy S27 series rumored to return to a typical January or February launch window, the charging specs may be officially confirmed soon.
