HMD has introduced the Nokia 2360 Flip, a new feature phone built around a classic clamshell design and aimed at users who need a simple, dependable mobile device. The phone is especially targeted at school students and senior citizens, with practical features such as dual displays, remote family controls, and a dedicated SOS button for quick emergency assistance.
One of the phone’s standout features is its Family Assist functionality, which lets family members manage key parts of the device remotely. This can include adding contacts, changing volume settings, setting reminders, and adjusting other useful phone options without the user needing to navigate through complicated menus.
Safety is another major focus. The Nokia 2360 Flip includes a dedicated SOS button on the rear panel. When pressed, the phone can call a pre-configured emergency contact and also send an alert message to up to five other contacts, giving family members a fast way to know that help is needed.
The device does have one notable limitation: it supports only 2G connectivity. While that is enough for calls, messaging, and basic features, it could reduce the phone’s usefulness in areas where 2G networks have already been shut down or are being phased out.
In terms of hardware, the Nokia 2360 Flip comes with a 2.8-inch internal display and a smaller 1.77-inch external screen, making it easy to check calls, messages, or other basic information without opening the phone. Other specifications include a removable 1,450mAh battery, a loudspeaker, a QVGA camera, 4MB of internal storage, FM Radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone is offered in three color options: Burgundy Red, Charcoal, and Teal. At the time of announcement, HMD had not disclosed pricing or regional availability details.
