HMD appears to be readying a refreshed version of its budget Pulse Pro smartphone. A new retail listing in Thailand has revealed the HMD Pulse Pro 2nd Edition, showing a familiar design but upgraded internal hardware.
The phone is listed by what appears to be the Nokia Official Shop for THB 4,990 (about $148). According to the listing, the Pulse Pro 2nd Edition features a 120Hz screen, the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset — which the retailer claims is 45% more powerful than before — 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 50MP main camera, and a 50MP selfie camera, with some "AI Camera" branding included. The device is pictured in black and looks almost identical to the original Pulse Pro.
For reference, the original HMD Pulse Pro launched in April 2024 with a 6.65-inch 720p 90Hz screen, the Unisoc T606 processor, and up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The same tipster had previously leaked this refreshed model as an upgraded EU version with a 6.56-inch HD+ 120Hz screen (the size could be a typo), a 50MP main camera with OIS alongside a 2MP sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 20W charging.
The tipster also says the HMD Fusion and Crest Max are getting the same "2nd Edition" treatment. The Fusion is expected to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, while the Crest Max could arrive with the Dimensity 7025. This wouldn't be HMD's first second edition, as the Nokia C2 2nd Edition was released in 2022.
Interestingly, the HMD Pulse 2 Pro was listed by a Swiss retailer ahead of IFA 2025 but never actually launched. Earlier this month, the same source leaked the Pulse 2T Pro with a 6.78-inch OLED 120Hz screen, Helio G100 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 50MP selfie camera, a 6,000 mAh battery with 33W charging, IP64 certification, and a dot matrix display on the back. That model appears to be a step above the new Pulse Pro 2nd Edition.
