Introduction: Oppo’s new Find X10 series arrives with flagship hardware and equally flagship pricing, but last week’s poll suggests the cost may be the biggest hurdle for potential buyers. The range-topping Find X10 Pro Max attracts the most interest among the two devices, while the standard Find X10 has a harder time justifying its place. In both cases, a significant portion of voters say the phones are simply too expensive right now.
Oppo’s flagships have always demanded a premium, but this generation may be priced beyond the level needed to reach the audience its hardware deserves. The Find X10 models are not the only devices affected—skyrocketing DRAM costs over the past few months have made these increases unavoidable.
Oppo Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max emerges as the preferred choice in a direct comparison, which is typical when both options sit in ultra-premium territory. Voters who find the pricing unreasonable have already declined, leaving only those who prioritize the best hardware regardless of cost.
The Find X10 Pro Max could well become the standout flagship of 2026. It could have been branded “Ultra” without much objection. However, a true Ultra model is still on the way, and around 10% of respondents said they would wait for it. Roughly twice as many are already considering alternatives from competing brands.
The Pro Max has a loyal following, but the poll suggests only about a quarter of its admirers are ready to pay the launch price. Additional buyers could appear later if Oppo introduces discounts.
The standard Oppo Find X10 had a weaker showing. It is more affordable than the Pro Max, but not affordable enough to change many minds. Compared with the Pro Max poll, this one reveals even greater interest in other flagships—both in the Pro Max itself and in devices from rival brands.
Only about one in five fans would buy the Find X10 at its current price. As noted in last week’s poll, a Find X9 Ultra can sometimes be found near the same price. That undermines the standard X10, since it does not carry the newest hardware—the Dimensity 9600M is essentially a 9500-class chip—while the X9 Ultra’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 still feels competitive.
Discounts may eventually arrive, but expectations should be tempered. SK hynix, the world’s third-largest DRAM maker, has warned that memory shortages could persist through 2030. Any price cuts may therefore be smaller than we have seen in past cycles.
