Apple’s latest foldable launch has had a bumpy start, but the standard iPhone 17 lineup is easier to recommend right now—and several models are seeing unusually solid discounts. This week’s new hardware also goes all-in on OLED: an updated iPad mini with an OLED panel and a redesigned MacBook Pro with a touch-enabled OLED display are now up for order.
Apple iPhone 17
€180/€110 offRead our reviewThe iPhone 17 is the current non-Pro option, and the base 256GB model gets a solid €180 discount. The step up to 512GB remains pricey, so most buyers should stick with 256GB unless extra storage is essential.
Apple iPhone Air
€400 offRead our reviewThe iPhone Air offers a larger 6.5-inch display than the vanilla iPhone 17, but in a thinner and lighter body. It is 5.6mm thick and weighs 165g, though it is slightly wider. Battery life takes a hit with a 3,149mAh cell, and the Air has a single 48MP main camera instead of a dual-camera setup. Still, with €400 off, it is cheaper than the iPhone 17 at higher storage tiers.
Apple iPhone 17 Pro
€150 offRead our reviewThe iPhone 17 Pro steps up with a full A19 Pro chipset, a 6-core GPU, more RAM, and a 48MP telephoto camera with a 4x/100mm lens. It also adds pro-grade video tools. The newer iPhone 18 Pro brings relatively few upgrades beyond the A20 Pro chip, so the 17 Pro remains a strong value while discounted.
Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max
€190/€150 offRead our reviewFor those who prefer a 6.9-inch display, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is still available with discounts. The newer iPhone 18 Pro Max feels like a more meaningful upgrade over this model, so the savings here may be worth comparing against the latest generation.
Apple iPhone 18 Pro
€70 off 512GB modelRead our review
Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max
Read our reviewThe iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are mostly selling at MSRP, with only a small €70 discount on the 512GB Pro. If you want the latest A20 Pro performance, these are the current options, but the 17 Pro series offers better value right now.
Apple iPad mini (2026)
coming November 6, 8.5" OLED, Apple A20 Pro, Wi-Finano-texture glass available on 256GB and 512GB versions for €130 moreApple has refreshed the iPad mini with its first OLED display, now 8.5 inches. A nano-texture glass option is available on 256GB and 512GB models for an extra €130. Early Geekbench results show the A20 Pro chip with 12GB of RAM beating the iPad Pros in single-threaded performance by about 8%, though the Pros still lead in multi-threaded tests. The new mini is also slimmer and lighter than before, and it gains an IP67 water resistance rating.
Apple iPad mini (2024)
8.3" LCD, Apple A17 Pro, Wi-Fi€60/€70 offThe previous iPad mini remains available at a lower price, but the savings may not be worth it for most people. The new model is thinner, lighter, and has a more efficient 2nm A20 Pro chip compared with the older 3nm A17 Pro. Keep in mind that both models still have 60Hz displays, but only the 2026 mini has an official water resistance rating.
Apple iPad Air 11 (2026)
11" LCD, Apple M4, Wi-Fi€109 off
Apple iPad Air 13 (2026)
13" LCD, Apple M4, Wi-Fi€100/€125/€90 offThe iPad Air 11 and 13 from earlier this year are also worth considering. They use M4 chips and IPS LCD panels, but the 11-inch model is now cheaper than the new iPad mini. Both are discounted, making them solid picks if you do not need the OLED screen or the smaller form factor.
Apple MacBook Pro (touch)
coming November 6, Apple M5 Pro, PROLED XDR touchscreenThe other major new release is the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR display. This is the first MacBook to feature an OLED panel, and it is also the first with touch support. The notch has been replaced by a Dynamic Island, though it houses only a camera and not Face ID. Powered by M5 Pro or M5 Max chips, these laptops are 200–300g lighter than non-touch MacBook Pro models, but they are also considerably more expensive.
