iPhone Duo Pre-Orders Are Shipping Earlier Than Expected for Many Customers

Source: Date:

Apple’s iPhone Duo may reach some customers sooner than originally anticipated. After a rush of pre-orders, a number of buyers are checking their order status and discovering that their expected shipping windows have moved up significantly.

Reports from social media users and community forums suggest that several pre-orders initially estimated for November or December delivery have been pulled forward. In Japan, some users claim their orders shifted all the way to October 23, which is listed as the official launch date for the iPhone Duo.

The trend is not limited to Japan. In a discussion on r/apple, multiple customers said their delivery estimates improved by several weeks. One person reported that their expected shipment moved from December 2–9 to November 17–24, while others saw similar updates. A few customers claimed even bigger jumps, with orders originally scheduled for late January being moved to late November.

However, not every pre-order has received an earlier date. Some customers say their shipping estimate remains unchanged, while at least one user reported a delay, with a November 30 estimate slipping to December 7.

Apple’s online store still shows a January 22 shipping estimate for some orders. Carrier estimates vary as well: AT&T currently lists December 3, Verizon estimates December 4, and T-Mobile shows a window of December 29 to January 6.

The iPhone Duo ships only with a USB-C to USB-C cable.

The improved shipping times do not appear to be tied to a single region, retailer, or carrier. It is possible that Apple has increased supply readiness, or that early demand was easier to manage than expected. Either way, some customers may receive Apple’s first foldable device earlier than they originally thought.
