Oppo Enco X4 First Look: Premium ANC Earbuds Go Global

Source: Date:

Oppo’s Enco X4 earbuds are finally making their international debut, arriving as the company’s latest flagship noise-cancelling option. Launched alongside the Oppo Find X10 series, the Enco X4 aims to combine high-end audio tuning, improved ANC, and long-lasting battery life in a polished wireless earbud package.

Inside the retail box, Oppo keeps things straightforward. Buyers get the Enco X4 earbuds housed in their charging case, along with three sizes of silicone eartips — small, medium, and large — to help achieve a secure and comfortable fit.

As with earlier Oppo Enco models, the Enco X4 continues the brand’s collaboration with Dynaudio. The audio company’s branding appears directly on the charging case, reinforcing the premium positioning of the earbuds. Oppo has also given the case a more distinctive look by adding a subtle silver accent line around the top and bottom. The smooth, pearlescent plastic finish helps the case feel more refined than a typical glossy accessory.

Charging is handled through either a USB-C port or wireless charging, giving users flexibility depending on their setup. Oppo also includes a small pairing button on the case, although most users may never need it. Thanks to fast pair support, the earbuds can quickly connect to smartphones, tablets, and laptops with a simple on-screen prompt.

Minimalist case design with USB-C and wireless charging

The Enco X4 earbuds themselves use an in-ear design with short stems, making them look modern without appearing overly bulky. Inside each earbud, Oppo has installed a dual-driver system made up of an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. This fourth-generation dual-driver setup is paired with dual DACs, suggesting a focus on richer sound, clearer detail, and better separation.

Control is handled through squeeze gestures on the stems. These controls can be used for play/pause functions, as well as switching between active noise cancellation and transparency mode. Oppo claims the ANC performance is 200% improved compared with the Enco X3s, supported by a new 6nm NPU that adjusts noise cancellation depending on the environment.

For calls, each earbud is equipped with four microphones: three standard silicon microphones and one bone-conduction voice pickup unit. Oppo also includes AI-based noise reduction to help improve voice clarity. The Enco X4 carries an IP55 rating, making it resistant to dust and water splashes. Additionally, the earbuds feature conversation awareness, automatically pausing music and adjusting ANC when the wearer begins speaking.

Battery life is another strong point. Oppo says the Enco X4 can deliver up to 53 hours of total usage with the charging case. During early hands-on use, including several flights, the earbuds proved comfortable and reliable. After a five-hour flight, they still had roughly half of their charge remaining, indicating solid real-world endurance.

Noise cancellation also appeared particularly effective in flight conditions, where engine drone and ambient cabin noise are common challenges. Combined with the comfortable fit and responsive controls, the Enco X4 makes a strong first impression for frequent travelers and everyday listeners alike.

Comfortable fit and dependable controls

The Oppo Enco X4 has already been available in China since September, but it is now expanding to markets including the UK, India, and Continental Europe. Color options include Aurora Violet and Glacier White. Launch pricing includes a small discount: £189 in the UK, representing a 13% reduction, and €199 in the EU, with a 9% discount plus an additional €20 voucher applied at checkout.
