Samsung has officially introduced its latest flagship Android tablets: the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S12+. These innovative devices are set to be available in select markets starting October 7, offering users cutting-edge technology and robust performance.
The Galaxy Tab S12 series brings a host of impressive features, with the Ultra variant boasting a larger display and superior specifications such as increased RAM, storage, and battery capacity compared to the S12+. Both models, however, share a powerful foundation.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and S12+ run on Android 17 with One UI 9, featuring a multi-window layout capable of displaying up to three sections. Samsung promises 7 years of OS and security updates for both models.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra features a stunning 14.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2,960 x 1,848 pixels. In contrast, the Galaxy Tab S12+ comes with a 12.6-inch display sporting a resolution of 2,800 x 1,752 pixels.
In terms of battery life, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra comes equipped with an 11,600mAh battery, while the Tab S12+ houses a 10,600mAh battery. Both devices support 45W wired fast charging.
For photography enthusiasts, the Ultra features a dual rear camera system with a 13MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera, while the Plus version offers a single 13MP rear camera. Both tablets are equipped with a 12MP ultrawide front camera for high-quality selfies and video calls.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra supports advanced Wi-Fi 7 technology, whereas the Galaxy Tab S12+ utilizes Wi-Fi 6E. Both models come with Bluetooth 6.0 and include support for the S Pen.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will be priced starting at $1,399 (€1,569/£1,399) for the 12GB/256GB variant, with options for 12GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB. The Tab S12+ starts at $1,199 (€1,329/£1,199) for the 12GB/256GB version and also offers a 12GB/512GB option. Both tablets come with a microSD card slot, supporting up to 2TB of additional storage.
As previously mentioned, the tablets will launch in select markets on October 7, and will be available in Gray and Silver color options.
