Xiaomi has recently unveiled exciting features of the much-anticipated Xiaomi 18 Pro series, specifically highlighting its advanced rear display capabilities. In a teaser shared on Weibo, the technology giant showcased how users can now develop AI-powered applications tailored for various tasks that will be displayed on this unique rear screen.

The teaser video featured several innovative applications that users could create, such as reminders for drinking water, timers for cooking eggs, recipe suggestions, and vocabulary enhancement tools for learning English. This marks a significant upgrade from the Xiaomi 17 Pro series, whose rear display was limited to a selection of widgets and pre-installed app cards.

Additionally, Xiaomi has partnered with several brands within China to provide custom app cards specifically designed for the rear display of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, enhancing the overall user experience.

The highly anticipated Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max models are expected to make their debut in China later this month, allegedly powered by Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.
