The anticipation surrounding the global rollout of vivo's foldable smartphone, the X Fold6, is mounting as new performance details have emerged. Originally introduced in China in June, the X Fold6 has yet to make its mark on the international stage. However, recent benchmark results from a global prototype indicate that its launch might be imminent.
Earlier today, a global prototype of the X Fold6, designated with the model number V2559, was tested on Geekbench 7.0.0 for Android. The device achieved a single-core score of 1,710 and a multi-core score of 5,977, as depicted in the accompanying screenshot below.
As this is a prototype, the performance metrics may not be fully indicative of the final product. Nevertheless, the benchmark results confirm that the global X Fold6 will be equipped with the same MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super SoC as its Chinese counterpart, alongside 12GB of RAM in this specific prototype—though vivo may offer additional RAM configurations upon its official release. Notably, while the Chinese variant shipped with Android 16, the global model will debut with Android 17, layered with vivo's new OriginOS 7.
For a quick overview, the Chinese X Fold6 features an impressive 8.02-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2312x2504 and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also boasts a 6.51-inch LTPO AMOLED cover screen at 1120x2528 resolution, a variety of storage options (256GB, 512GB, or 1TB), and a powerhouse camera system including a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and dual 20MP cameras for selfies—one on the cover and one internally. Powering this flagship is a robust 7,000 mAh battery with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging capabilities.
