Excitement is building as the global release of vivo's impressive foldable smartphone, the X Fold6, appears to be on the horizon. After making a splash with its launch in China this past June, eager fans and tech enthusiasts worldwide are anticipating its international availability. Recent benchmark results have surfaced, indicating that the wait for the global model is nearly over.
Earlier today, a prototype of the global X Fold6 was tested using Geekbench, where it achieved a single-core score of 1,710 and a multi-core score of 5,977 in Geekbench 7.0.0 for Android. The global variant is identified by the model number V2559, and while the results come from a prototype which may not reflect final performance, they do reveal some exciting details.
This prototype is powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super SoC found in the Chinese version, coupled with 12GB of RAM. However, there may be additional RAM options available at launch. Notably, the global version is expected to launch with Android 17 and also feature vivo's latest OriginOS 7 on top, in contrast to the Chinese variant, which was released with Android 16.
To recap, the Chinese version of the X Fold6 boasts a stunning array of specifications, including an 8.02-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2312x2504 and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 6.51-inch LTPO AMOLED cover screen. With storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB, it features an impressive camera setup including a 200MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and dual selfie cameras. Powering this device is a robust 7,000 mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.
