Apple’s Ambitious iPhone Ultra Pricing Revealed Ahead of Launch

As anticipation builds for Apple’s highly awaited iPhone launch event scheduled for September 9, a new report sheds light on the pricing of the innovative iPhone Ultra. With this device marking Apple’s foray into the foldable smartphone market, the company’s ambitious plans have revealed a pricing strategy influenced by recent market challenges.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple initially aimed to set the iPhone Ultra's price at $1,999. However, due to the ongoing memory chip shortage and subsequent price increases, the starting price is now expected to hover around $2,199. Additionally, customers opting for the highest configuration, likely featuring 1TB of storage, may be looking at a staggering price point of up to $3,000.

Exciting specifications have also emerged, with reports suggesting that the iPhone Ultra will showcase a nearly invisible crease, a durable titanium and aluminum hinge system, and custom cover glass developed in collaboration with Corning. Apple appears to be committed to delivering construction quality that it believes will set a new standard in the foldable smartphone arena.

The iPhone Ultra is anticipated to feature a 7.8" folding display alongside a 5.5" cover display. When unfolded, the device is expected to have proportions similar to those of a Magic Trackpad, while in its folded state, it should roughly match the size of a passport, combining functionality with portability.
