Huawei has introduced its latest lineup of smartwatches, with the Watch 6 series stepping in as the new flagship options alongside the global launch of the Watch GT 7 and GT 7 Pro. The latest offerings promise advanced health tracking features, improved battery life, and a sleek design, making them compelling choices for tech enthusiasts and fitness aficionados alike.
Huawei Watch 6 and 6 Pro: Features and Specifications
The Huawei Watch 6 series is composed of two models: the standard Watch 6 and the premium Watch 6 Pro. The standard version is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes, while the Pro variant offers 43mm and 46mm options. Notably, the 42mm Watch 6 model is exceptionally lightweight at just 38 grams (excluding the strap).

The differentiation between the two models is apparent in their construction materials. All models feature LTPO OLED touchscreens protected by artificial sapphire glass. The peak brightness reaches 3,000 nits for the standard versions and up to 3,500 nits for the Pro variants. Additionally, an eSIM connectivity version is available across both series.

New gesture controls enhance usability, allowing users to quickly silence calls and alarms with a simple wrist flick. The smartwatches can connect to both iOS and Android devices simultaneously, providing convenience for users with multiple devices.
With the new Health Insights feature, these watches monitor daily health metrics and provide suggestions for improving well-being. Functions for heart rate, SpO2 levels, sleep tracking, ECG capability, and more are embedded within the devices for comprehensive health management.
Huawei’s X-Tap sensor returns, enabling simultaneous measurement of various health metrics with enhanced sensitivity. The sensor can support monitoring for conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, bringing the total health metrics tracked up to 14.
The Watch 6 series supports over 100 sports modes, including dedicated options for skiing, cycling, and golf. Additionally, an AI workout analysis feature provides insights on workout intensity and recovery strategies. The Pro models offer navigation capabilities through an Expedition app previously exclusive to the Watch Ultimate series.
Battery life varies, with the 42mm and 43mm models lasting about 3 days during regular use and extending to 7 days with battery saver mode. The 46mm versions are rated for 4.5 days of typical use or up to 11 days in power-saving settings.
Prices: The Huawei Watch 6 starts at £399.99, while the Watch 6 Pro is priced at £599.99. Both models will be available for purchase starting September 23.
Huawei Watch GT 7 Series Overview
The Watch GT 7 series is making its international debut, offering the same features introduced in China last month. The series includes the Watch GT 7 in 41mm and 46mm sizes, with the Pro version exclusively in the larger size.

Users have access to a 1.32-inch display on the 41mm model or a 1.47-inch option on the 46mm variant, complete with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

The Watch GT 7 features a stainless-steel case, while the GT 7 Pro boasts a premium titanium alloy construction paired with a nanocrystalline ceramic back. Additionally, fresh color options and a new strap design enhance its aesthetic appeal.
Watch GT 7 Pro
Both models utilize optical heart rate sensors, while the Pro variant adds ECG support. Improved sports-tracking capabilities are a highlight of the GT 7 series, featuring enhanced functionality for cycling, skiing, and golf, along with a superior positioning algorithm for skiing.
Battery Life: The 41mm Watch GT 7 retains power for up to 7 days, while the 46mm versions promise up to 12 days, with lighter usage extending runtime to 14 to 21 days accordingly. Continuous GPS usage in running mode can last up to 51 hours.
Prices: The Huawei GT 7 begins at £279.99 and the Watch GT 7 Pro is priced at £379.99. Huawei is offering a £50 discount for orders placed by October 13.
