Exploring the Features of the Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro

The Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro is a compelling entry into the smartwatch market, especially for those keen on fitness and style. In this article, we will dive into the details of its design, functionality, and overall user experience as we await a more comprehensive review.

First off, the unboxing experience is straightforward, featuring Huawei’s familiar magnetic charging puck which connects via a USB-A cable. Unfortunately, there is no inclusion of a detachable USB-C connector this year, but we'll keep our fingers crossed for future updates.

When compared to its predecessor, the GT 6 Pro, the design of the GT 7 Pro has evolved while maintaining a similar aesthetic. A notable change is the color-matched screen bezel that aligns perfectly with the watch strap.

The redesigned strap features a tuck-under mechanism that enhances comfort and stability, ensuring it doesn’t shift during use.

Constructed from a titanium alloy, the watch boasts a durable chassis while the back houses sensors under a nanocrystalline ceramic panel. Huawei continues to excel in offering high-quality materials in its smartwatches, and the GT 7 Pro is no exception.

The GT 7 Pro comes in a single size of 46mm, featuring a 1.47-inch AMOLED display capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, comparable to that of the GT 6 Pro. Early tests confirm exceptional visibility outdoors, even with the brightness set at 50% under sunny conditions.

Weighing slightly over 55 grams and measuring 11mm thick, this watch might be better suited for those with larger wrists. It operates on Huawei’s Harmony OS 6.1, maintaining a look and feel similar to its earlier versions.

Regarding battery performance, users can expect figures akin to its predecessor, with Huawei promising up to 12 days of standard usage and 21 days in low power mode. We'll be putting these claims to the test in our upcoming review, so stay tuned for more insights.
