Huawei has officially introduced the nova 16s Pro and nova 16s to the global market, building on the momentum from their initial release in China earlier this June. As is customary for the brand, these international versions feature a distinctive "s" in their names, enhancing their appeal while maintaining cutting-edge specifications.
The nova 16s Pro shines with its remarkable 200MP RYYB main camera, equipped with an f/1.8 lens and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This impressive setup is complemented by a 1.5MP multi-spectral sensor for advanced color calibration, a 50MP RYYB periscope camera featuring 3.7x optical zoom (f/2.6 lens with OIS), and a 50MP RYYB ultra-wide camera with a 118° field of view and a 2.5cm macro capability. The front-facing camera is also a robust 50MP sensor.

This Pro variant showcases a stunning 6.84-inch LTPO OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz. It boasts an incredible peak brightness of 6,000 nits (1% APL) and a dynamic peak brightness of 4,000 nits (20% APL), all managed through advanced 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by a substantial 7,000mAh battery that supports 100W Huawei SuperCharge Turbo via a USB-C 2.0 connection. Despite its slim profile, measuring only 7.1mm thick, it weighs in at 218g. The body is crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum and is protected by Kunlun Glass, offering ten times the drop resistance compared to the previous nova 15 model.

Embracing a summer-inspired design, the nova 16s Pro comes in four attractive colors: Isle Blue, Breathing Crystal, Starry Black, and Sky White.
On the other hand, the nova 16s presents itself as a more compact alternative with a 6.68-inch display. It features a 50MP camera system within a “True-to-Colour Camera” setup, that also includes a 50MP RYYB 3.3x periscope camera with OIS.

Despite its slimmer profile at 7.3mm, the nova 16s maintains the same impressive 7,000mAh battery capacity alongside the same 100W Huawei SuperCharge Turbo technology and USB-C 2.0 port. Users can choose from 256GB or upgrade to 512GB of internal storage.
Both models operate on Huawei's EMUI 16.0, departing from the previously used HarmonyOS. The nova 16s Pro utilizes a Kirin 9010S chipset, while the standard version runs on a Kirin 8020.
Featuring advanced AI photography capabilities, both phones offer an array of smart functions including AI Composition, AI Move for repositioning elements in photos, AI Remove for eliminating unwanted objects, AI Best Expression for selecting the best smiles, and AI De-Glare for reducing reflections in shots.
