Samsung Launches New $800 Galaxy Book6: A Sleek 14-Inch Laptop Packed with Features

Samsung has officially unveiled its latest addition to the Galaxy Book6 lineup, introducing the 14” Galaxy Book6. This stylish yet powerful laptop comes with a starting price of $800 and offers impressive specifications tailored for both casual and professional users. Available with Windows 11 or Linux, the Galaxy Book6 promises to deliver a seamless computing experience for various tasks and purposes.

The Galaxy Book6 features a 14” 16:10 LCD display with an anti-glare coating, showcasing a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and a brightness of 350 nits. With a slim profile of 15.7mm and a lightweight design at 1.35kg (2.98lbs), this laptop is both portable and efficient.

Equipped with a robust 61.2Wh battery, the Galaxy Book6 boasts an extraordinary battery life of up to 25 hours on a single charge, with fast charging capabilities through two USB-C ports at 45W. It can charge to 33% in just half an hour. Additional ports include USB-A, HDMI 1.4, and a 3.5mm headphone/mic combo jack, while wireless features include Wi-Fi 6E (2x2) and Bluetooth 5.4.

Customers can choose from Intel's Core 3 or Core 5 315 processors. The base model comes with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 256GB PCIe SSD, while upgrades are available for 16GB RAM and storage options of 512GB or 1TB.

For audio, the laptop features stereo speakers (2x 2W) enhanced with Dolby Atmos technology, dual microphones for crisp voice recognition, and a 2MP camera for video calls. However, it’s worth noting that this model does not include a backlit keyboard.

Samsung integrates several Galaxy-specific features into the Book6, including Quick Share for simplified file transfers between Galaxy devices, Storage Share for easy access to files, and Second Screen functionality that allows a Galaxy Tab to serve as a secondary display. Other features like Multi Control, Note Assist, AI Cut Out, and AI Select enhance the productivity experience.

The Galaxy Book6 will be available in a new Violet Silver color, alongside the classic Gray. Currently, configurations are limited in markets like the UK, where only the Core 5 variant is available, with options for 8GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage. In Spain, however, users can choose the 16GB option but only when selecting 512GB storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Book6 is available in Gray and Violet Silver.

Availability will commence on October 5 in the US through Samsung.com and Amazon. In Canada, pricing is set at $1,200, though no release date has been provided yet.
