The highly anticipated Poco F9 Ultra is set to make its debut tomorrow, alongside the F9 Pro. Ahead of its official launch, insights from the EPREL database have emerged, shedding light on its energy efficiency and battery capabilities.
According to leaked information, the Poco F9 Ultra has achieved an impressive A rating for energy efficiency. This latest model boasts a significant improvement in battery endurance, offering an estimated 80 hours and 44 minutes of usage time, compared to 67 hours from its predecessor, the Poco F8 Ultra. Additionally, the battery retains a lifespan of 1,000 charge cycles, similar to the previous version.

However, the Ultra has made some sacrifices in terms of durability. The drop resistance rating has dropped to a C mark, down from A in the previous model, indicating potential vulnerabilities to falls. Fortunately, it maintains the same IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and a C rating for repairability.
Unconfirmed leaks also suggest that the Poco F9 Ultra will feature a larger battery capacity of 8,050mAh, an upgrade from the 6,500mAh of the F8 Ultra, yet still less than the 9,070mAh found in the Redmi K100 Pro Max upon which the F9 Ultra is based.
Poco has confirmed that the F9 Ultra will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, while the F9 Pro is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V-series alongside a 6,330mAh battery, as per recent leaks. Stay tuned for the official reveal tomorrow.
