The tech community is abuzz with new rumors that suggest the upcoming Honor Magic9 Pro will boast extraordinary photographic capabilities. Set to debut in September, this flagship smartphone is expected to feature not one, but two remarkable 200MP cameras, a significant leap in mobile photography technology.

At the recent unveiling of the innovative Robot Phone, Honor provided a sneak peek into the Magic9 series, highlighting that it will include a device equipped with a 200MP camera utilizing a 1/1.4" type sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

According to sources from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Magic9 Pro will incorporate two 200MP cameras: one as a periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.6 aperture, and the other as the main camera. This main camera is expected to feature a larger 1/1.28" type sensor with an impressive f/1.57 aperture and 3-degree OIS, setting a new standard for smartphone cameras.

To provide some context, the Magic8 Pro currently features a 50MP main camera, which uses a 1/1.3" type sensor with f/1.6 aperture. As a comparison, the new Magic9 Pro promises superior pixel count while maintaining a similar sensor size and aperture.

Moreover, the Magic9 Pro is anticipated to be among the early adopters of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 SoC, although it remains uncertain whether it will utilize the standard or Pro configuration. The official launch of the Magic9 series is expected on September 28, promising to deliver groundbreaking features to mobile users.
