In an exciting development for tech enthusiasts, Apple is reportedly preparing to unveil its much-anticipated smart glasses at the WWDC event in June 2027. The commercial rollout of these eyewear devices is expected to follow later in the same year, with developers already gearing up to create applications tailored for this innovative technology.
According to Mark Gurman's latest Power On newsletter, Apple’s decision to showcase its smart glasses, codenamed N50, at WWDC 2027 is aimed at providing developers ample time to prepare their applications prior to the product’s launch.

Initially, these smart glasses were expected to debut this year; however, Apple chose to delay the launch due to increasing privacy concerns associated with the device. This extra time allows the company to refine the product and address any potential issues.
Additionally, Gurman indicates that Apple will also introduce new models of its smartwatches, including the Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4, later this year. These smartwatches are currently in the advanced stages of testing, with codenames N237 and N238 for the Wi-Fi-only and LTE variants of the Watch Series 12, and N240 for the Watch Ultra 4.
While significant design changes are not anticipated for the upcoming smartwatches, improvements in chipset performance and enhanced health and fitness tracking capabilities are expected. Meanwhile, there may not be a new Watch SE model released in 2026, as Apple unveiled the Watch SE 3 last year.
