Samsung is poised to unveil its next-generation foldable devices at the Galaxy Unpacked event in London later today, alongside the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Ahead of the launch, comprehensive specifications and pricing details of these upcoming smartwatches have emerged.
According to the leaks, both the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset, complemented by 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy Watch9 is expected to feature 32GB of internal storage, while the Watch Ultra 2 may offer 64GB.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is rumored to come with a 1.52-inch AMOLED display capable of achieving a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
In contrast, the Galaxy Watch9 will be available in two sizes: the 40mm model will feature a 1.34-inch display, and the 44mm version will have a 1.47-inch screen, both with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Both models are expected to be equipped with sapphire crystal protection.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is anticipated to house an 800mAh battery, while the 40mm and 44mm Galaxy Watch9 models may feature 390mAh and 445mAh batteries, respectively. Both smartwatches are likely to support WPC-based fast wireless charging.
Moreover, the leaks suggest that the new Galaxy smartwatches will incorporate Samsung's BioActive sensor, along with additional sensors for temperature, barometric pressure, and geomagnetism.
On the software front, both the Galaxy Watch9 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 are expected to ship with Wear OS 7 featuring One UI 9 Watch. Connectivity options are anticipated to include LTE, Bluetooth 6.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS.
Lastly, the Galaxy Watch9 is expected to meet IP68 and 5ATM ratings for dust and water resistance, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is likely to offer higher IP69K and 10ATM+ ratings.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will only be available in an LTE variant, with expected pricing set at €749.
