Xiaomi's sub-brand, Redmi, recently unveiled the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro in China. The company is now preparing to introduce this lineup to international markets, including India, where the launch is projected for next month.
According to insider information, the Redmi Note 17 will debut in India on August 6, with its first sale scheduled for August 11.

The source indicated that the Indian version of the Redmi Note 17 will feature an OLED display, a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, and an 8,000 mAh battery. While the battery and camera specifications align with the Chinese model, it remains uncertain whether the Indian variant’s OLED display will also be 7 inches diagonally, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2,396x1,080 pixels.
Additional specifications for the Chinese Redmi Note 17 include the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, it supports both 45W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
