The RedMagic Astra 2 was initially launched in China as the "Gaming Tablet 5 Pro" in late June, and it is now available internationally. The design and hardware remain unchanged, ensuring that global customers receive the same device as those in China.

This tablet features a 9.06-inch LTPO OLED display, boasting an impressive 185Hz refresh rate and a rapid touch response time, with an average touch sampling rate of 300Hz.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, available in two configurations: 12GB/256GB or 16GB/512GB. This main chipset is complemented by the dedicated RedCore R4 gaming chip, which enhances framerate stability and graphics upscaling.
The device is equipped with dual stereo speakers and large dual X-axis linear vibration motors, delivering what RedMagic refers to as 4D haptic feedback.

On the camera front, it comes with a basic setup of a 13MP rear camera and a 9MP front camera.
Powered by an 8,300 mAh battery, the tablet supports 75W wired fast charging. Notably, it features two USB-C ports: one high-speed 3.2 Gen 2 and a standard USB 2.0 port, which allows for charging while playing games and is conveniently situated along the long side for easy access during landscape mode.

The Astra 2 operates on Redmagic OS 11.5, based on Android 16.
Today marks the official global launch of the tablet, with sales set to begin in late August. RedMagic is currently offering early bird vouchers, granting priority access for one day ahead of the official sale date. Voucher holders will also receive an 80W charger.
