After 16 years since its initial launch on iOS and 6 years following the introduction of Phocus Mobile 2 for iPhones, Hasselblad's Phocus Mobile app has finally made its debut on Android. The app is compatible with the Hasselblad X2D II, X2D 100C, and 907X & CFV 100C cameras.
This app offers the full Hasselblad Natural Color Solution (HNCS) experience on mobile devices, integrating AI-driven noise reduction with an extensive suite of editing and photo management tools. With Phocus Mobile for Android, users can review, edit, organize, and export their images seamlessly.

The application ensures that colors, tonal gradations, and highlight details are preserved throughout the entire workflow—from preview to export. On Android devices that support HDR, images captured with the X2D II 100C deliver detailed shadows, vibrant highlights, and color transitions that align closely with human vision, as stated by Hasselblad in its press release.
In low-light environments, the app's AI-powered RAW noise reduction algorithm allows for cleaner and more natural images without compromising fine details. The processing time for a 100MP RAW image is estimated to be 15 to 20 seconds. Users can select between two modes: Purity Mode, which prioritizes noise reduction, and Detail Mode, which maintains luminance noise to capture finer details.
Phocus Mobile for Android features a comprehensive collection of editing tools that enable adjustments in exposure, curves, white balance, as well as monochrome and lens corrections. Additional functionalities include sharpening, cropping, rotation, and keystone corrections. Users can import images into the app using Wi-Fi or a USB-C cable, with export options available in JPG, TIFF, HEIF, 3FR, and RAW formats.
