The RedMagic Astra 2, which first launched in China as the "Gaming Tablet 5 Pro" in late June, is now available for international customers. The global version features the same design and hardware specifications as its Chinese counterpart.

This tablet boasts a 9.06-inch LTPO OLED display with a remarkable 185Hz refresh rate and a responsive touch sampling rate of 300Hz.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, with options for 12GB/256GB or 16GB/512GB RAM and storage configurations. It also includes a dedicated RedCore R4 gaming chip that enhances frame rate stability and graphics upscaling for an optimal gaming experience.
The Astra 2 features dual stereo speakers and dual X-axis linear vibration motors, delivering what RedMagic describes as 4D haptic feedback for immersive gameplay.

On the camera front, the tablet offers a straightforward configuration with a 13MP rear camera and a 9MP front-facing camera.
An 8,300 mAh battery powers the device, supporting 75W wired fast charging. Notably, it features two USB-C ports: one high-speed 3.2 Gen 2 port and one USB 2.0 port, which can be conveniently used for charging during gameplay in landscape mode.

The Astra 2 operates on Redmagic OS 11.5, which is based on Android 16.
While today marks the official global launch, sales are set to begin in late August. To celebrate the launch, RedMagic is offering early bird vouchers that provide customers with priority access to purchase the tablet a day before general sales start. Voucher holders will also receive an 80W charger.
