Xiaomi has recently announced that the Redmi Note 17 will feature a 7-inch display—once considered a tablet size rather than a smartphone. The device will also include an 8,000mAh battery, which, while substantial, is smaller than the 9,000mAh battery found in the Redmi Note 17 Pro.
Display card with Redmi Note 17 details A display card, shared by Android Treasure, provided further insights. Notably, the Redmi Note 17 will support 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse charging, while the Pro variant offers 67W charging.
The large display will be protected by an unspecified version of Gorilla Glass and will achieve a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits. In terms of durability, the phone will carry an IP65 rating, compared to the Pro's IP69K. It is important to note that these specifications pertain to the Chinese model, and it remains unclear how many features will make it to the global version.

Unfortunately, details regarding RAM and storage configurations were not mentioned on the display card, although a Geekbench result indicated the presence of 12GB of RAM.
Official images reveal that the smartphone will feature a single 50MP camera with AI capabilities. Furthermore, it will come with stereo speakers capable of delivering a 200% volume boost.
