Samsung is anticipated to announce the Galaxy Z Fold8 series alongside the Galaxy Z Flip8 at its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22. Ahead of the official launch, new details regarding the Galaxy Z Flip8's weight and dimensions have emerged.

According to insider Ice Universe, the Galaxy Z Flip8 will weigh approximately 180 grams, making it 8 grams lighter than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip7, which weighs 188 grams.

While this weight reduction may appear minor, it could significantly enhance the overall user experience, making the Galaxy Z Flip8 feel more comfortable in hand.

The same tipster also confirmed that when unfolded, the Galaxy Z Flip8's thickness will be 6.1mm, excluding the rubber bumper surrounding the inner display. With the bumper included, the device’s total thickness is projected to be 6.6mm, similar to that of the Galaxy Z Flip7.

Previous leaks have indicated that the Galaxy Z Flip8 will sport an upgraded hinge design and an improved display crease that is less noticeable.
