Samsung Health users are currently facing a notice in the app, requesting permission to use their health data for AI training and modeling. If users choose not to consent, they will be unable to sync their health data with their Samsung account, and it will ultimately be deleted.
Upon consenting, Samsung will gather data related to health and wellness, medications, health records, and menstrual cycle tracking. The company states that the information collected will be utilized for AI training and modeling, including human review, aimed at enhancing Samsung Health, improving algorithms for health condition analysis, and refining AI features.
Users can revoke their consent at any time by navigating to Samsung Health settings > Privacy and disabling the toggle next to the "Consent to the use of health data for AI training and modeling" option.

However, if consent is withdrawn, a warning message will appear, indicating that syncing health data with the Samsung account will be disabled, and the information will be deleted unless legally required to retain it.

While it is likely that Samsung will anonymize the collected data, preventing any link to individuals, the company's approach of compelling users to provide health data for AI training may not sit well with many Samsung Health users.
