Lenovo Unveils Legion Y700 Ultimate Gaming Tablet with 5G Support

Source: Date:

Earlier this month, Lenovo began teasing a new Legion gaming tablet featuring 5G support, announcing that a full reveal is scheduled for August.

Today, the company showcased the device in the accompanying video. It appears to be named the Legion Y700 Ultimate, though this translation from Chinese may not be entirely accurate.

The tablet includes a physical SIM slot alongside eSIM support, allowing for dual-SIM dual-standby functionality. Additionally, its design has evolved slightly compared to the Y700 (Gen 5) model, which was released in March and lacked 5G connectivity. The Y700 Ultimate features an antenna design that minimizes connectivity drops, regardless of hand positioning.

As of now, Lenovo has not disclosed further specifications, so it remains to be seen whether the new model will retain the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset found in the Y700 (Gen 5). The size appears similar, and the video emphasizes its portability. For context, the Y700 (Gen 5) boasts an 8.8" display with a 1904x3040 resolution. Lenovo has promised to share more details about the Y700 Ultimate in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for updates.
