As the launch of the Redmi Note 17 series in China approaches, new details have emerged about the upcoming devices. The latest announcements confirm the battery capacity and display size of the standard Redmi Note 17, along with showcasing the smartphone in a new color variant.
Through multiple posts on Weibo, Redmi has confirmed that the standard Note 17 will feature a large 7-inch OLED display.

This panel will support a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum global brightness of 1,200 nits, along with several eye protection features.
Additionally, Redmi has announced that the Note 17 will be equipped with an impressive 8,000mAh battery, supporting 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
In a separate announcement, the company revealed that the smartphone will have a 50MP primary rear camera.
Alongside these specifications, Redmi showcased the Note 17 in a new 'Meteor Purple' color option.

The new purple finish features a unique pattern on the rear panel that resembles a meteor shower streaking across the night sky.


Redmi is scheduled to unveil the Note 17 and Note 17 Pro in China on July 14. A recent benchmark listing suggests that the standard Note 17 may be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, while the Note 17 Pro is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC.
Furthermore, Redmi has confirmed that the Pro model will boast a massive 9,000mAh battery and will come with a 5-year battery replacement guarantee.
