MG has announced an all-electric sporty hatchback, the MG2, slated for release in summer 2027. Coinciding with this announcement, the company revealed the MG GO! concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This hatchback resembles a Mini and could serve as the foundation for the upcoming MG2.
MG GO!
The MG GO! is accompanied by another concept vehicle, the MG Cyber, which is a high-performance SUV. Both models mark the beginning of MG's next generation of electric vehicles.
Designed at the MG Design Center in London, the MG GO! aims to blend classic styling with modern aesthetics. It incorporates design elements from iconic MG models such as the MGB GT and draws performance inspiration from the MG Metro Turbo, MG ZR, and MG EX4. These influences contribute to the sporty character of the MG GO!
MG's primary objective is to enhance driving enjoyment in a sporty car while ensuring affordability and practicality.
Unfortunately, MG did not reveal any details about the interior design, so fans will have to wait for more information.
MG Cyber
Shifting focus to the MG Cyber concept, which contrasts sharply with the MG GO!, this is a large, high-end performance SUV inspired by the MG EX181, a historic speed record-setting car.
The MG Cyber is designed to deliver exceptional driving dynamics and a sporty feel, all while maintaining practicality and electric range.
In addition to these concepts, MG highlighted its advancements in key technologies, including AI, ADAS, LiDAR, advanced camera systems, and vehicle connectivity.
