After unboxing the Pro version, we now turn our attention to the global Oppo Reno16.
It’s rare for the standard model to be visually indistinguishable from its Pro counterpart, but in this case, it is. The Reno16 features the same stunning 6.32-inch display.
The design showcases the 3D Pop Planet aesthetic, complete with a nebula-like effect on the phone's back, as displayed in the image below. This design choice is in line with Oppo's reputation for creating visually appealing smartphones.
Check out the design in action on TikTok.

True to the Reno series philosophy, the selfie camera is a standout feature. Fortunately, the standard model is equipped with an impressive front camera, boasting a wide 18mm lens with a bright f/2.0 aperture and a substantial 1/2.75-inch sensor.
To provide some perspective, the camera on the Reno16 has the same sensor size as that found in the flagship vivo X300 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, surpassing the front cameras of the iPhone 17 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra. We anticipate exceptional selfies from the Reno16.

We previously discussed the differences between the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro during the Pro’s unboxing, so we won’t delve into that here. However, the display is one of those differences.
You may not spot the differences at first glance, even when viewed side by side. The Reno16 features the same 6.32-inch 1216x2640px AMOLED panel, but with a slightly lower maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
It’s a vibrant and bright display that you'll enjoy using throughout the day. Just ensure you’re comfortable with the size.

The Oppo Reno16 is now available globally, starting at €899 for the 8/512GB model. Orders placed before July 31 will receive a €100 discount. The phone is available in three colors: Pop White, Twilight Violet, and Dream Purple.
Included in the package is the phone, a clear case, an 80W charger, and a USB-C to USB-A cable.
