iOS 27 Poll Results: Positive Sentiment but Lacks Enthusiasm

Source: Date:

The results from last week’s poll indicate that iOS 27 received a lukewarm reception, with many iPhone users expressing that it's just 'okay.' While the overall sentiment is moderately positive, only a limited number of voters selected the 'love it' option.

This release primarily aimed to refine the major Liquid Glass redesign and to fulfill previously promised AI features that Apple has been discussing for some time. Recall the Apple Intelligence demonstrations during the iPhone 16 launch? Siri's AI capabilities are set to debut later this year, likely in conjunction with the iPhone 18 Pro models.

Weekly poll results: iOS 27 is okay, just okay

Despite the excitement surrounding AI, users interested in exploring the new and improved Siri will find themselves on a waiting list, even if they are running the iOS 27 beta. Consequently, the marquee feature of this update is not quite ready for widespread use, framing this release more as a 'maintenance' update, which often fails to generate much enthusiasm.

Nonetheless, the votes in favor of the update surpass those against it by a ratio of 2-to-1, indicating that some users appreciate the new version. Even smaller enhancements, such as the ability to adjust alarm and ringtone volumes separately or access the Control Center from an external display, have been well received.
