Earlier this year, rumors surfaced that Oppo was developing a wide-format foldable device to compete with Apple's anticipated iPhone Ultra. A recent leak has provided additional insights about the device and its expected launch timeline.
According to a Weibo post by renowned tipster Digital Chat Station, Oppo’s wide-screen foldable is significantly advanced in development and is projected to be released in Q1 2027. The device is reportedly undergoing tests with Qualcomm's forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.

Oppo is reportedly assessing screen panels from both Samsung Display and BOE, and the overall design is said to be reminiscent of Apple's forthcoming foldable iPhone.
Digital Chat Station also mentioned that the foldable will incorporate Oppo's latest crease-minimizing hinge technology, likely mirroring the hinge system utilized in the Find N6. While the final branding remains undisclosed, there are indications that the device could launch as the Oppo Find N7.
