Google Launches Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 with Key Bug Fixes for Pixel Devices

Google has commenced the rollout of Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 for eligible Pixel devices. This latest beta arrives nearly three weeks after the release of Beta 3, which followed The Android Show: I/O Edition 2026.

The Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 update is now available for supported Pixel devices, starting with the Pixel 6a. Notably, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are not included in this rollout and have not received the new build.

Google seeds Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 with several bug fixes

Regarding firmware versions, the Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro are receiving build CP31.260522.006.A1, while all other eligible Pixel devices are being updated to build CP31.260522.006.

Google's official changelog for Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 highlights several bug fixes. These include resolving an issue where the mouse pointer would disappear when using external displays, and correcting a problem where the screenshot shutter sound played even when the device was in silent mode.

Additionally, the update fixes a bug that caused frame drops and jittery video footage during 5x zoom recording while panning, among other improvements. Google is anticipated to release the stable version of Android 17 soon.
