Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 Released with Key Bug Fixes for Pixel Devices

Google has begun the rollout of Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 for eligible Pixel devices. This latest beta release comes nearly three weeks after Beta 3, which debuted shortly after The Android Show: I/O Edition 2026.

Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 is now available for supported Pixel devices, starting with the Pixel 6a. Notably, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are not included in this rollout and have not received the update.

In terms of firmware versions, the Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro are receiving build CP31.260522.006.A1, whereas all other eligible Pixel devices are being updated to build CP31.260522.006.

The official changelog for Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 outlines several bug fixes, including one that resolved an issue where the mouse pointer would disappear when using external displays. Additionally, it addresses a problem where the screenshot shutter sound would play even when the device was set to silent mode.

Furthermore, the update fixes a bug that caused frame drops and jittery footage when recording video at 5x zoom while panning, among other improvements. Google is anticipated to release the stable version of Android 17 soon.
