A Mysterious Find: The Pixel Watch 5 Discovered Underwater

In a world where tech leaks have become almost mundane, one recent discovery has taken the cake for the wildest leak of 2026. Rather than the anticipated iPhone Fold, it's a Google smartwatch that has sparked intrigue and curiosity. The leak revolves around the Pixel Watch 5, a device that was reportedly unearthed from the depths of the ocean. The circumstances surrounding this find raise questions about its authenticity and the secrets it may hold.

Pixel Watch 5 Discovered at Sea

While chatter about Google's Pixel 11 series has been rampant, the Pixel Watch 5 has largely escaped notice. That is until Randy Pitchford, former CEO of Gearbox, broke the news on social media. He revealed that a friend's underwater escapade while scuba diving near St. Martin led to the astounding find of what they believe to be the unreleased Pixel Watch 5.

Randy's post included a photo showing the words "Google" and "Pixel Watch 5" inscribed on the watch's back, leading both him and his friend to suspect it was indeed a prototype from Google's smartwatch lineup.

Unusual Features and Markings

According to Randy, while the watch wasn't charged enough to power on, it managed to display the correct time thanks to its reserve power. Additional markings found on the watch suggest it may feature familiar metrics associated with Google’s health tracking, including a heart rate sensor, 45 mm size, UWB (Ultra Wideband Technology), EDA, IP68 water resistance, sleep tracking, and SpO2 capabilities.

Notably, these features mirror those of the Pixel Watch 4, raising eyebrows regarding the watch's legitimacy.

The Original Owner Located

Shortly after announcing the discovery, Randy shared another update claiming he had managed to make contact with the watch's original owner. He remarked, "Thanks to the magic of the internet, I am now in touch with the owner, and we have arranged for its return."

Trust But Verify

Initially, it seemed that the most eye-catching tech leak of 2026 would revolve around something as high-profile as the iPhone Fold. However, the revelation of the Pixel Watch 5’s underwater find presents an equally thrilling narrative. Nevertheless, skepticism lingers. Advances in AI technology make it increasingly easy to manipulate images, leading to questions about whether this is indeed the Pixel Watch 5 or an altered version of the previous model.

Despite this uncertainty, Randy Pitchford's credibility as a recognized figure adds weight to the claim. Moreover, tech companies, including Google, often test prototypes in controlled outdoor environments. While the incident is unprecedented in tech leaks, it also underscores the necessity of cautious interpretation. As such, viewers should remain open yet analytical, recognizing the possibility that this revelation could either be entirely accurate or misleading.
