Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold8, a new addition to the wide Galaxy Fold series, has generated significant buzz following a wave of leaks. Renowned tipster Ice Universe shared essential specifications on X, revealing that the Fold8 is expected to weigh approximately 201 grams. For comparison, Huawei's Pura X Max, which has similar dimensions, weighs in at 229 grams.

Interestingly, Samsung's flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra weighs 214 grams, despite lacking a foldable display. This trend of the foldable being lighter than standard flagships is consistent with last year's Galaxy 25 Ultra (218g) and Z Fold7 (215g).
Additionally, the Fold8 is set to measure only 4.5mm when unfolded, surpassing the thickness of the Huawei Pura X Max at 5.2mm, although it remains slightly thicker than the Z Fold7, which measures 4.2mm in its unfolded form.

Furthermore, Ice Universe asserts that the Z Fold8 will feature a robust 4,800 mAh battery and support 45W wired charging. The foldable device is also anticipated to include a 50MP main camera with native support for Samsung's 24MP resolution mode. The Z Fold8 is expected to showcase a 7.6-inch inner display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a minimal crease.
