For the past several years, Amazon Prime Day has taken place in July. This year, however, the retail giant has decided to revert to its traditional June timeframe.

Mark your calendars: Prime Day will run from June 23 to 26, a four-day event that Amazon first introduced last year.

If you can't wait until then, you can check the Prime Day page for some early deals.

A sneak peek of the upcoming discounts reveals that gaming and tech products from Sony and Logitech G will be available for up to 50% off. Laptops from HP and Asus will see discounts of up to 40%, while select TVs will also be marked down by up to 40%.

As is customary, Amazon devices, including Kindle e-readers, Echo smart speakers, Fire TV series, eero Wi-Fi routers, and Ring and Blink security cameras, will also be on sale. Additionally, a variety of Amazon Basics products will be discounted. We will identify the best deals once Prime Day begins.

If you have children, consider visiting the Back to School page for essential supplies. If your kids are older, the Off to College page may be of interest. Furthermore, Amazon offers a special Prime subscription for Young Adults, priced at $7.49 per month or $69 annually, which is half the cost for older users. A six-month free trial is available for individuals aged 18-24, meaning activation now will extend beyond Prime Day.

Interestingly, groceries have become a significant aspect of Prime shopping due to same-day delivery options. This Prime Day will feature items such as $1 red cherries, $1 hot dogs and buns, and corn for 4-for-$1, as Amazon aims to compete with Walmart, the largest grocery retailer in the U.S.

Prime Day is not limited to the U.S.; it will take place in various regions including Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Singapore. Additionally, Brazil and Japan will host their own shopping events. We’ve linked local press releases when available.

Curious about why Amazon shifted Prime Day from July to June? Jamil Ghani, Amazon Prime's international vice president, noted in a Reuters interview: “This year, we have the (FIFA) World Cup. We've got also the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, and so we thought this week was the best week for us to hold Prime Day.”
