The rumor mill surrounding the vivo X500 series is heating up, with recent leaks suggesting a significant camera enhancement. According to a new rumor, the vivo X500 Ultra may be equipped with a telephoto camera offering greater zoom capabilities than the vivo X300 Ultra.
In a recent Weibo post, tipster Smart Pikachu claimed that vivo is currently testing a 10x periscope telephoto camera for one of its forthcoming flagship smartphones, most likely the X500 Ultra.

Notably, earlier rumors suggested that vivo is developing a specialized vlogging camera to compete with similar products from DJI.
A 10x periscope telephoto camera would represent a major advancement for vivo's flagship Ultra model. The company’s recent Ultra offerings have provided telephoto cameras with up to 3.7x optical zoom, while the X300 Ultra relies on external teleconverter lenses to achieve longer zoom distances.
This move may also be influenced by competition from Oppo, which has introduced a 10x zoom camera in its Find X9 Ultra.
